A Vision for Leadership
The Emerging Leaders Program exists to cultivate leaders capable of reconnecting liberty and human dignity within the Western tradition.
We believe that free societies endure only when citizens possess the virtue, prudence, and moral seriousness necessary for self-government. Leadership is not merely influence or ambition—it is responsibility ordered toward the common good.

The Crisis of Formation
Too often, internships offer little more than busywork, résumé building, or shallow professional experience.
Young people are rarely challenged intellectually, mentored personally, or entrusted with meaningful responsibility. Many graduate professionally credentialed but morally unformed—prepared for careers, yet unprepared for leadership.
The Emerging Leaders Program exists in direct response to that need.

A Different Kind of Internship
ELP is not simply a professional development program. It is a holistic formation experience.
Interns do not merely study leadership from a distance—they practice it daily through meaningful work, disciplined study, guided discussion, and service within a national civic movement.

Intellectual Formation
Through courses in Servant Leadership, Western Heritage, American Constitutionalism, and Statesmanship, interns engage the ideas, traditions, and principles that shaped the American constitutional order. Students encounter thinkers such as Aristotle, Cicero, Thomas Aquinas, John Locke, and American statesmen including James Madison and Abraham Lincoln.
Professional Formation
Interns receive practical experience through communications, media, grassroots engagement, operations, outreach, and leadership development while working alongside professionals and mentors within Convention of States.
Civic Formation
Students are formed in the principles of constitutional self-government, civic friendship, and servant leadership through mentorship, discussion, and active participation in a national movement dedicated to preserving liberty and human dignity.

The Vision is Bigger Than Our Current Reach
The Emerging Leaders Program is growing rapidly, but our ability to expand remains limited by capacity and funding.
The demand for serious leadership formation is growing. The opportunity to shape the next generation of statesmen has never been greater.
